It’s Writing Prompt Wednesday!
This week, I chose a prompt from @the.plottery.
The last text you received? It’s got to be the last line of a poem you’re going to write.
Tired tracks line the dirt;
Sputtering exhaust follow.
The tank was full,
but I forgot how much.
A broken window remains, though
I want to tell you,
Yeah my car is fixed now.

This reminds me of when I drove my 15-year-old car to work, 50 km one way, every day. It was an airport highway, so it was generally clear, but every time I had to drive into a traffic jam, I’d be worrying so much because there’d always be something wrong, like an overheating radiator or broken air-conditioning.
Do you still drive the same car?
Nah, thankfully. And the pandemic has cut a lot of my need for commuting.
Great poem, this is such a cool idea! I’ll definitely be using it in the future.
Glad to spark some creativity 🤗Thanks for stopping by!
